This 2 bedroom apartment is located in the heart of Paris on the border of three of the city's most famous arrondissements, the 1st, 2nd and 9th. The building is just behind the Opera and the famous and chic department store Galerie Lafayette. The flat, which has just been completely remodeled, measures 700 square feet and is located on the first floor of a beautiful 19th century building. Windows overlook a large, lovely courtyard. The area is both very quiet and very safe. A small entrance takes you to the dining room, with separate entrances to two sleeping quarters: one is a bedroom that can double as a living room, with two twin beds that can be pushed together. The other room from the dining room is the master bedroom, which features a queen-size bed that can be split into two twins. A single bathroom with a shower is reachable through separate doors. There is also a small study with a desk and chair and closet. The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and a washing machine. The apartment is brand new, with parquet floors in all rooms, and will sleep four comfortably.

About the Neighborhood

A diverse residential area popular among an artistic crowd. This Southern portion is similar to the 2nd arrondissement, with a mix of residential and business buildings. The Paris Opera is located here. Farther North is Pigalle, the fading Red Light district as well as the famous Moulin Rouge.

There are many wonderful restaurants, cafes, wine bars, food shops, supermarkets, bakeries, patisseries and specialty shops close by in the famous market street "rue des Martyrs". You will find a fabulous fromagerie, numerous patisseries and bakeries, butchers, fresh fish, fruit, vegetables, chocolate, herbs and spices and much more.

If you like shopping, you will be 3 blocks away from the largest retail store in Paris the oeGaleries Lafayette" at boulevard Haussman and rue Lafayette, which has the highest turnover of all stores in France. You will find everything there from exclusive beauty products and perfumes to designer clothing and great ideas for your interior.

Strolling down the Opera Avenue past the renovated old Opera building (as has been all the area by the way), you will find lots of interesting shops as well, and if you push a bit further, you are at the Louvre on one side or the Place Vendome on the other side with its jewelers, or the Rue Faubourg St Honore with all its very attractive Haute Couture stores, all this within 30 min walk (unless you stop at the various shop windows that is...).
